Hospitality Department

HEAD OF DEPARTMENT: Janet Forbes-Dean

Structure:
A 3-year course of study for students in grades 10, 11, and 12 wishing to pursue a career in the Hospitality industry.

The students study various aspects of this subject including Food Preparation, Housekeeping, Tourism, Dining Room, Front Desk, Nutrition, and Sanitation studies.

During their final year of study they are given the opportuity to participate in a short period of work experience with one of the local hotels.

Many of the students who study on the course go on to pursue careers in this field, often travelling away to school or undertaking further studies at the College of the Bahamas.
